January 6, 2024: Jones, OK 73049 The Jones Longhorns (Jones, OK) basketball knocked off the visiting Kingfisher Yellowjackets (Kingfisher, OK), 48-34 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Longhorns (6-3) will now prepare for their test against Tecumseh (Tecumseh, OK). The Savages go into the North Canadian River test with a 6-4 record. In their last test, Tecumseh went down by Wagoner (Wagoner, OK), 48-35, in a non-league test.
The Yellowjackets now own a 6-4 record. They play next when they travel to Newcastle for a Western test on Tuesday, January 9. Kingfisher will encounter a Racers squad coming off a 28-25 non-league win over Guthrie (Guthrie, OK). The Racers record now stands at 8-4.
