Minnesota High School Basketball - Mankato East holds off Mahtomedi
January 6, 2024: Mahtomedi, MN 55115 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Mankato East Cougars (Mankato, MN) and the host Mahtomedi Zephyrs (Mahtomedi, MN), saw Mankato East's basketball squad hold off Mahtomedi by a tally of 74-67.
With the victory, Mankato East improves its record to 7-5 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Faribault (Faribault, MN) to confront the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 6. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 2-9. Faribault lost 53-30 in their recent league challenge against Winona (Winona, MN)
Next up, the Zephyrs confront the Hastings Raiders (Hastings, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Mahtomedi will attempt to improve on its 6-4 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 6-5 record after their 65-51 non-league win over Tartan (Oakdale, MN).
