January 6, 2025: Athens, WI 54411 Chequamegon Screaming Eagles (Park Falls, WI) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Athens Bluejays (Athens, WI), 73-55 in a league match.
With the victory, Chequamegon upgrades its record to 3-7 on the year. The Screaming Eagles host Auburndale (Auburndale, WI) to face the Apaches in a non-league match on Friday, January 10. The Apaches enter the match with a record of 9-1. Auburndale won 61-29 in their recent non-league match against Necedah (Necedah, WI)
The Bluejays now sport a 1-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Edgar for a non-league match on Thursday, January 9. Athens will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 52-47 non-league loss to Lakeland (Minocqua, WI). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-7.
