January 6, 2025: Solon Springs, WI 54873 Solon Springs Eagles (Solon Springs, WI) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Butternut Midgets (Butternut, WI), 90-19 in a league match.
With the victory, Solon Springs upgrades its record to 4-3 on the year. The Eagles travel to Drummond (Drummond, WI) to face the Lumberjacks in a Northern Lights match on Thursday, January 9. The Lumberjacks enter the match with a record of 5-4. Drummond lost 59-57 in their recent non-league match against Flambeau (Tony, WI)
The Midgets now sport a 0-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Shore for a Northern Lights match on Tuesday, January 7. Butternut will face a Cardinals squad coming off a 76-38 league loss to Washburn (Washburn, WI). The Cardinals record now stands at 2-8.
