January 6, 2025: Moville, IA 51039 Hinton Blackhawks (Hinton, IA) supporters left the game happy Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Woodbury Central Wildcats (Moville, IA), 65-57 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Hinton advances its record to 7-1 on the year. The Blackhawks host Akron-Westfield (Akron, IA) to face the Westerners in a War Eagle match on Tuesday, January 7. The Westerners enter the match with a record of 3-5. Akron-Westfield won 53-45 in their recent league match against Trinity Christian (Hull, IA)
The Wildcats now own a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Boyer Valley for a non-league match on Thursday, January 9. Woodbury Central will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 63-36 non-league loss to Coon Rapids-Bayard (Coon Rapids, IA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-6.
