South Dakota High School Basketball - Canistota overwhelms Platte/Geddes
January 6, 2025: Canistota, SD 57012 The Canistota Hawks basketball team scored 49 points and limited the visiting Platte/Geddes Black Panthers to 18 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Monday.
The Hawks now have a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to Alcester-Hudson for a non-league game on Thursday, January 9. Canistota will confront a Cubs team coming off a 58-24 league loss to Avon (Avon, SD). The Cubs record now stands at 1-6.
With the loss, Platte/Geddes drops to 2-4 on the year. The Black panthers travel to Corsica/Stickney (Corsica, SD) to face the Jaguars in a non-league match on Thursday, January 9. The Jaguars enter the match with a record of 6-1. Corsica/Stickney lost 55-44 in their recent non-league match against Mt. Vernon/Plankinton (Mt. Vernon, SD)
