Broome Centurions (Spartanburg, SC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Mid-Carolina Rebels (Prosperity, SC), 60-57 in a league bout.

With the win, Broome upgrades its record to 7-7 on the season. The Centurions host Emerald (Greenwood, SC) to play the Vikings in a AA Region III bout on Tuesday, January 11. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 7-2. Emerald won 76-74 in their recent league bout against Woodruff (Woodruff, SC)

Next up, the Rebels play the Saluda Tigers (Saluda, SC) in a AA Region III bout, on Tuesday, January 11. Mid-Carolina will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 4-7 record after their 66-51 league loss to Newberry (Newberry, SC).
