Jennings County Panthers (North Vernon, IN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Brownstown Central Braves (Brownstown, IN), 75-66 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Jennings County upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The Panthers host Jac-Cen-Del (Osgood, IN) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 12. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 6-2. Jac-Cen-Del won 65-53 in their recent league bout against Milan (Milan, IN)

Next up, the Braves play the Silver Creek Dragons (Sellersburg, IN) in a Mid-Southern bout, on Friday, January 14. Brownstown Central will attempt to upgrade on its 8-2 season record. The Dragons go into the bout with a 6-6 record after their 65-59 league loss to Eastern (Pekin, IN).
