Michigan High School Basketball - Lake Shore tops Utica

January 7, 2022: St. Clair Shores, MI 48082

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Lake Shore Shorians (St. Clair Shores, MI) and the visiting Utica Chieftains (Utica, MI), saw Lake Shore's basketball squad knock off Utica by a tally of 66-49.

With the victory, Lake Shore improves its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Shorians travel to Anchor Bay (Fair Haven, MI) to play the Tars in a Macomb Area - Blue challenge on Tuesday, January 11. The Tars come into the challenge with a record of 0-5. Anchor Bay lost 60-40 in their recent league challenge against Cousino (Warren, MI)

Next up, the Chieftains play the Port Huron Northern Huskies (Port Huron, MI) in a Macomb Area - Gold challenge, on Tuesday, January 11. Utica will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Huskies come into the challenge with a 3-2 record after their 72-53 league win over Fraser (Fraser, MI).
