Medina Bobcats (Medina, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Utopia Buffaloes (Utopia, TX), 62-33 in a league bout.

With the victory, Medina upgrades its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to D'Hanis (D'Hanis, TX) to play the Cowboys in a 1A Region IV District 31 bout on Friday, January 14. The Cowboys come into the bout with a record of 12-4.

Next up, the Buffaloes play the D'Hanis Cowboys (D'Hanis, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 31 bout, on Tuesday, January 11. Utopia will attempt to upgrade on its 1-9 season record. The Cowboys come into the bout with a 12-4 record after their 49-22 league win over Nueces Canyon (Barksdale, TX).
