January 7, 2022: Monticello, MN 55362 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Princeton Tigers (Princeton, MN) and the host Monticello Magic (Monticello, MN), saw Princeton's basketball squad hold off Monticello by a tally of 68-65.
With the victory, Princeton improves its record to 9-0 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to St. Francis (St. Francis, MN) to play the Fighting Saints in a AAA Section 5 challenge on Tuesday, January 11. The Fighting Saints come into the challenge with a record of 4-7. St. Francis lost 68-67 in their recent non-league challenge against Cambridge-Isanti (Cambridge, MN)
Next up, the Magic play the Chisago Lakes Area Wildcats (Lindstrom, MN) in a AAA Section 5 challenge, on Tuesday, January 11. Monticello will attempt to improve on its 3-7 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 1-7 record after their 68-34 non-league loss to Hudson (Hudson, WI).
