California High School Basketball - Central Valley nips Anderson
January 7, 2022: Shasta Lake, CA 96019 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Central Valley Falcons (Shasta Lake, CA) and the visiting Anderson Cubs (Anderson, CA), saw Central Valley's basketball squad hold off Anderson by a tally of 2-0.
With the victory, Central Valley improves its record to 14-3 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to University Prep (Redding, CA) to play the Panthers in a Northern challenge on Tuesday, January 11. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 10-3. University Prep won 71-56 in their recent league challenge against Lassen (Susanville, CA)
Next up, the Cubs play the West Valley Eagles (Cottonwood, CA) in a Northern challenge, on Tuesday, January 11. Anderson will attempt to improve on its 4-11 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 10-5 record after their 53-52 league loss to Yreka (Yreka, CA).
