The Hillcrest Huskies (Midvale, UT) basketball nipped the visiting Payson Lions (Payson, UT), 44-41 in Friday's league test.

The Huskies (4-6) will now prepare for their test against Cottonwood (Salt Lake City, UT). The Colts go into the 5A Region 7 test with a 4-7 record. In their last test, Cottonwood was tipped by Stansbury (Tooele, UT), 58-51, in a league test.

The Lions now own a 6-5 record. They play next when they host Cedar Valley for a 5A Region 7 test on Wednesday, January 12. Payson will encounter a Aviators squad coming off a 38-25 league win over Tooele (Tooele, UT). The Aviators record now stands at 9-4.
