The Sahuaro Cougars basketball team scored 43 points and held the host Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks to 40 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now sport a 15-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Salpointe Catholic for a 4A Kino contest on Thursday, January 13.

The Nighthawks (8-10) will now prepare for their contest against Marana (Tucson, AZ). The Tigers enter the 5A Sonoran contest with a 6-9 record.
