The Legacy Lightning basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the host Thornton Trojans to 8 in the Lightning non-league victory on Friday.

The Lightning now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Smoky Hill for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 12. Legacy will battle a Buffaloes team coming off a 21-15 non-league win over Hinkley (Aurora, CO). The Buffaloes record now stands at 8-3.

The Trojans (0-7) will now prepare for their contest against DSST: Conservatory Green (Denver, CO). The Hornets come into the non-league contest with a 2-5 record. In their last contest, DSST: Conservatory Green was routed by Adams City (Commerce City, CO), 51-30, in a non-league contest.
