January 7, 2022: Hotchkiss, CO 81419 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the North Fork Miners (Hotchkiss, CO) and the visiting Meeker Cowboys (Meeker, CO), saw North Fork's basketball squad hold off Meeker by a tally of 52-45.
With the victory, North Fork improves its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Miners travel to Coal Ridge (New Castle, CO) to play the Titans in a 3A Western Slope challenge on Saturday, January 8. The Titans come into the challenge with a record of 7-2. Coal Ridge won 53-27 in their recent non-league challenge against Steamboat Springs (Steamboat Springs, CO)
Next up, the Cowboys play the Olathe Pirates (Olathe, CO) in a 2A/1A Western Slope - South challenge, on Saturday, January 8. Meeker will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 3-4 record after their 52-20 league loss to Soroco (Oak Creek, CO).
