North Buncombe Black Hawks (Weaverville, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC), 50-24 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, North Buncombe upgrades its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Black Hawks host Enka (Enka, NC) to play the Jets in a 3A/4A Conference 53 bout on Tuesday, January 11. The Jets come into the bout with a record of 7-7. Enka won 49-45 in their recent league bout against McDowell (Marion, NC)

Next up, the Warhorses play the Avery County Vikings (Newland, NC) in a 1A/2A Conference 42 bout, on Tuesday, January 11. Owen will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record.
