January 7, 2023: Cedar Grove, NJ 07009 The Cedar Grove Panthers (Cedar Grove, NJ) basketball nipped the visiting Butler Bulldogs (Butler, NJ), 35-34 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Panthers (3-3) will now prepare for their test against Montclair Kimberley Academy (Montclair, NJ). The Cougars go into the Super Essex - Independence test with a 2-2 record. In their last test, Montclair Kimberley Academy got by Eagle Academy (Newark, NJ), 51-40, in a non-league test.
The Bulldogs now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they host Mahwah for a non-league test on Monday, January 9. Butler will encounter a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 31-29 non-league loss to Newark Vocational (Newark, NJ). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 2-7.
