January 7, 2023: Cheyenne, WY 82001 The Douglas Bearcats (Douglas, WY) basketball nipped the host East Thunderbirds (Cheyenne, WY), 51-50 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Bearcats (10-1) will now prepare for their test against Buffalo (Buffalo, WY). The Bison go into the non-league test with a 4-4 record. In their last test, Buffalo got by Big Piney (Big Piney, WY), 60-50, in a non-league test.
The Thunderbirds now own a 9-4 record. They play next when they host Riverton for a non-league test on Friday, January 13. East will encounter a Wolverines squad coming off a 57-50 non-league win over Natrona County (Casper, WY). The Wolverines record now stands at 8-2.
