Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Girard College Cavaliers (Philadelphia, PA) and the visiting Freire Charter Dragon (Philadelphia, PA), saw Girard College's basketball squad knock off Freire Charter by a count of 63-43.

With the victory, Girard College upgrades its record to 5-8 on the campaign. The Cavaliers host The City School (Philadelphia, PA) to play the Lions in a Penn-Jersey challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 8-3. The City School won 56-46 in their recent league challenge against Barrack Hebrew Academy (Bryn Mawr, PA)
