January 7, 2023: Hampden, ME 04444 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Hampden Broncos (Hampden, ME) and the visiting Messalonskee Eagles (Oakland, ME), saw Hampden's basketball squad overcome Messalonskee by a tally of 71-57.
With the victory, Hampden improves its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Broncos travel to Cheverus (Portland, ME) to confront the Stags in a AA North challenge on Friday, January 13. The Stags come into the challenge with a record of 7-3. Cheverus lost 46-43 in their recent league challenge against Portland (Portland, ME)
Next up, the Eagles confront the Camden Hills Windjammers (Rockport, ME) in a A North challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Messalonskee will attempt to improve on its 1-9 season record. The Windjammers come into the challenge with a 1-7 record after their 72-58 league loss to Skowhegan (Skowhegan, ME).
