Mississippi High School Basketball - Tishomingo County topped by Heritage Academy
January 7, 2023: Iuka, MS 38852 The Heritage Academy Patriots basketball team scored 51 points and restricted the host Tishomingo County Braves to 38 in the Patriots non-league victory on Saturday.
The Patriots now sport a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Washington for a MAIS 5A District 1 contest on Tuesday, January 10. Heritage Academy will battle a Generals team coming off a 51-26 league loss to Starkville Academy (Starkville, MS). The Generals record now stands at 1-4.
The Braves (4-13) will now prepare for their contest against Mooreville (Mooreville, MS). The Troopers come into the 4A Region 1 contest with a 6-6 record. In their last contest, Mooreville dropped by Saltillo (Saltillo, MS), 53-47, in a non-league contest.
