In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Hillcrest Trojans basketball team scored a tight 50-46 triumph over the Maranatha Minutemen.

In their next game, the Trojans face the Patriot Warriors (Jurupa Valley, CA) in a River Valley match, on Wednesday, January 11. Hillcrest will attempt to move on its 8-11 season record. The Warriors enter the match with a 7-12 record after their 54-35 league loss to Norte Vista (Riverside, CA).

With the defeat, Maranatha moves to 10-9 on the year. The Minutemen travel to Whittier Christian (La Habra, CA) to face the Heralds in a Olympic match on Friday, January 13. The Heralds enter the match with a record of 5-10.
