Kentucky High School Basketball - Paintsville topped by Montgomery County
January 7, 2023: Mt. Sterling, KY 40353 The Montgomery County Indians basketball team scored 60 points and restricted the visiting Paintsville Tigers to 49 in the Indians non-league victory on Saturday.
The Indians now sport a 9-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pendleton County for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 10. Montgomery County will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 78-36 non-league loss to Scott (Covington, KY). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-10.
The Tigers (4-8) will now prepare for their contest against Martin County (Inez, KY). The Cardinals come into the non-league contest with a 11-2 record. In their last contest, Martin County prevailed over Paintsville (Paintsville, KY), 97-57, in a league contest.
