January 7, 2023: Guilford, ME 04443 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Valley Cavaliers (Bingham, ME) and the host Piscataquis Pirates (Guilford, ME), saw Valley's basketball squad overcome Piscataquis by a tally of 58-50.
With the victory, Valley improves its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Cavaliers host Pine Tree Academy (Freeport, ME) to play the Breakers in a D South challenge on Monday, January 9. The Breakers come into the challenge with a record of 0-3. Pine Tree Academy lost 68-41 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Dominic (Lewiston, ME)
Next up, the Pirates play the Greenville Lakers (Greenville, ME) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Piscataquis will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Lakers come into the challenge with a 3-4 record after their 37-32 non-league loss to Schenck (East Millinocket, ME).
