New Jersey High School Basketball - Ridgewood can't hold off Union City
January 7, 2023: Union City, NJ 07087 The Union City Soaring Eagles basketball team scored 68 points and held the visiting Ridgewood Maroons to 62 in the Soaring Eagles non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Soaring Eagles now sport a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Dickinson for a Hudson County - American contest on Tuesday, January 10. Union City will battle a Rams team coming off a 47-36 non-league win over Ferris (Jersey City, NJ). The Rams record now stands at 4-5.
The Maroons (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against Northern Highlands (Allendale, NJ). The Highlanders enter the Big North - Freedom contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, Northern Highlands was nudged by Ramsey (Ramsey, NJ), 54-51, in a non-league contest.
