The Thatcher Eagles basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting Show Low Cougars to 51 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Eagles now sport a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Safford for a 3A South contest on Tuesday, January 10. Thatcher will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 70-26 league win over San Miguel (Tucson, AZ). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-8.

The Cougars (9-10) will now prepare for their contest against Payson (Payson, AZ). The Longhorns enter the 3A East contest with a 3-11 record. In their last contest, Payson was outscored by Palo Verde (Tucson, AZ), 73-61, in a non-league contest.
