New Jersey High School Basketball - St. John-Vianney knocked off by St. Rose
January 7, 2023: Belmar, NJ 07719 The St. Rose Purple Roses basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting St. John-Vianney Lancers to 43 in the Purple Roses league triumph on Saturday.
The Purple Roses now sport a 8-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Point Pleasant Boro for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 12. St. Rose will meet a Panthers team coming off a 66-38 non-league win over Wall Township (Wall, NJ). The Panthers record now stands at 8-1.
The Lancers (4-5) will now prepare for their contest against Holmdel (Holmdel, NJ). The Hornets enter the Shore A - Central contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, Holmdel was defeated by Ranney (Tinton Falls, NJ), 59-50, in a non-league contest.
