Iowa High School Basketball - Abingdon/Avon crushes Davenport Central
January 7, 2023: Davenport, IA 52803 Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes (Abingdon, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Davenport Central Blue Devils (Davenport, IA), 75-53 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Abingdon/Avon upgrades its record to 12-7 on the season. The Tornadoes host Galva (Galva, IL) to play the Wildcats in a Lincoln Trail bout on Monday, January 9. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 10-8. Galva lost 49-43 in their recent league bout against Princeville (Princeville, IL)
Next up, the Blue Devils play the Muscatine Muskies (Muscatine, IA) in a Mississippi bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Davenport Central will attempt to improve on its 3-7 season record. The Muskies come into the challenge with a 3-7 record after their 63-36 league win over Davenport West (Davenport, IA).
