January 7, 2023: Pleasant Valley, IA 52767 In Saturday's non-league outing, the Pleasant Valley Spartans (Pleasant Valley, IA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Geneseo Maple Leafs (Geneseo, IL), by a margin of 56-27.
The Spartans (12-0) will now prepare for their outing against Davenport West (Davenport, IA). The Falcons go into the Mississippi outing with a 1-6 record. In their last outing, Davenport West smashed Riverdale (Port Byron, IL), 42-37, in a non-league outing.
The Maple Leafs now own a 14-4 record. They play next when they host Quincy for a Western Big 6 outing on Wednesday, January 11. Geneseo will clash with a Blue Devils squad coming off a 54-43 non-league win over Granite City (Granite City, IL). The Blue Devils record now stands at 11-8.
