The Veterans Warhawks (Kathleen, GA) basketball nipped the host Lowndes Vikings (Valdosta, GA), 50-47 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Warhawks (12-2) will now prepare for their test against Lee County (Leesburg, GA). The Trojans go into the AAAAAA Region 1 test with a 6-7 record.

The Vikings now own a 8-5 record. They play next when they host Glynn Academy for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 10. Lowndes will encounter a Terrors squad coming off a 57-36 league loss to Lakeside (Evans, GA). The Terrors record now stands at 3-11.
