California High School Basketball - Sonoma Valley overwhelms Piner
January 7, 2023: Santa Rosa, CA 95403 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Sonoma Valley Dragons (Sonoma, CA) and the host Piner Prospectors (Santa Rosa, CA), saw Sonoma Valley's basketball squad wallop Piner by a count of 55-16.
With the victory, Sonoma Valley upgrades its record to 12-3 on the campaign. The Dragons host Petaluma (Petaluma, CA) to play the Trojans in a Vine Valley challenge on Monday, January 9. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 3-11. Petaluma lost 48-25 in their recent non-league challenge against Montgomery (Santa Rosa, CA)
Next up, the Prospectors play the Windsor Jaguars (Windsor, CA) in a North Bay - Redwood challenge, on Monday, January 9. Piner will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a 7-10 record after their 51-39 non-league loss to Montgomery (Santa Rosa, CA).
