California High School Basketball - Palm Desert thwarts Southwest EC
January 7, 2023: El Centro, CA 92243 The Palm Desert Aztecs (Palm Desert, CA) basketball knocked off the host Southwest EC Eagles (El Centro, CA), 51-32 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Aztecs (9-6) will now prepare for their test against Rancho Mirage (Rancho Mirage, CA). The Rattlers go into the test with a 2-2 record. In their last test, Rancho Mirage went down by Xavier Prep (Palm Desert, CA), 47-44, in a league test.
The Eagles now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Christian for a non-league test on Monday, January 9. Southwest EC will encounter a Patriots squad coming off a 42-24 league loss to La Jolla (La Jolla, CA). The Patriots record now stands at 3-9.
