January 7, 2025: Elko, NV 89803 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Independence Colts (Elko, NV) and the visiting Carlin Railroaders (Carlin, NV), observed Independence's basketball team overwhelm Carlin by a score of 81-21.
The Colts (5-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Wells (Wells, NV). The Leopards come into the non-league challenge with a 9-5 record. In their last challenge, Wells trounced Owyhee (Owyhee, NV), 53-44, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Railroaders battle the Eureka Vandals (Eureka, NV) in a 1A East challenge, on Friday, January 10. Carlin will attempt to improve on its 3-9 season record. The Vandals come into the challenge with a 6-5 record after their 46-36 league win over McDermitt (McDermitt, NV).
