January 7, 2025: Watervliet, MI 49098 Watervliet Panthers (Watervliet, MI) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Dowagiac Chieftains (Dowagiac, MI), 69-51 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Watervliet advances its record to 4-5 on the year. The Panthers travel to Coloma (Coloma, MI) to face the Comets in a Southwestern - North match on Friday, January 10. The Comets enter the match with a record of 6-4. Coloma lost 68-41 in their recent non-league match against Berrien Springs (Berrien Springs, MI)
The Chieftains now own a 0-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Buchanan for a non-league match on Thursday, January 9. Dowagiac will face a Bucks squad coming off a 74-24 non-league win over Eau Claire (Eau Claire, MI). The Bucks record now stands at 6-3.
