In Tuesday's league contest, the host Wilson Wildcats basketball team scored a close 52-49 triumph over the Poteet Pirates.

The Wildcats (13-11) will now prepare for their contest against Seagoville (Dallas, TX). The Dragons go into the 5A Region II District 14 contest with a 13-11 record. In their last contest, Seagoville nipped Spruce (Dallas, TX), 75-25, in a league contest.
