Tennessee High School Basketball - Lenoir City knocks off Roane County
January 7, 2025: Kingston, TN 37763 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Lenoir City Panthers (Lenoir City, TN) and the host Roane County Yellowjackets (Kingston, TN), observed Lenoir City's basketball team overcome Roane County by a margin of 48-39.
The Panthers (8-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Rhea County (Evensville, TN). The Golden Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 9-3 record.
In their next game, the Yellowjackets battle the McMinn Central Chargers (Englewood, TN) in a 2A District 3 challenge, on Friday, January 10. Roane County will attempt to better on its 9-6 season record. The Chargers come into the challenge with a 12-1 record after their 72-50 non-league win over Farragut (Knoxville, TN).
