The Vinton County Vikings (McArthur, OH) basketball nipped the visiting Jackson Ironman/Ironladies (Jackson, OH), 63-62 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Vikings (9-4) will now prepare for their test against Meigs (Pomeroy, OH). The Marauders go into the Tri-Valley I test with a 6-4 record.

The Ironman/Ironladies now own a 5-5 record. They play next when they host Alexander for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 11. Jackson will encounter a Spartans squad coming off a 52-50 league win over Vinton County (McArthur, OH). The Spartans record now stands at 6-7.
