Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Hazleton Area fells Pottsville
January 8, 2022: Hazleton, PA 18202 Hazleton Area Cougars (Hazleton, PA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Pottsville Crimson Tide (Pottsville, PA), 56-39 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Hazleton Area upgrades its record to 6-3 on the season. The Cougars host Wyoming Valley West (Plymouth, PA) to clash with the Spartans in a Wyoming Valley 1 bout on Monday, January 10. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 4-4.
Next up, the Crimson Tide clash with the Eastern Lebanon County Raiders (Myerstown, PA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 10. Pottsville will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 4-5 record after their 57-39 league loss to Lancaster Catholic (Lancaster, PA).
