Iowa High School Basketball - Rock Island nips Pleasant Valley
January 8, 2022: Pleasant Valley, IA 52767 Rock Island Rocks (Rock Island, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Pleasant Valley Spartans (Pleasant Valley, IA), 42-41 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Rock Island upgrades its record to 11-9 on the season. The Rocks host East Moline United (East Moline, IL) to play the Panthers in a Western Big 6 bout on Thursday, January 13. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 7-7. East Moline United won 48-41 in their recent league bout against Alleman (Rock Island, IL)
Next up, the Spartans play the Muscatine Muskies (Muscatine, IA) in a Mississippi bout, on Tuesday, January 11. Pleasant Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 9-2 season record. The Muskies go into the bout with a 2-10 record after their 57-21 league loss to North Scott (Eldridge, IA).
