Louisiana High School Soccer - Catholic-B.R. nudges Byrd
January 8, 2022: Shreveport, LA 71104 Catholic-B.R. Bears (Baton Rouge, LA) fans were thrilled Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Byrd Yellow Jackets (Shreveport, LA), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Bears face the Jesuit Blue Jays (New Orleans, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 11. Catholic-B.R. will attempt to better on its 5-2 season record. The Blue Jays enter the challenge with a 6-1 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Grace King (Metairie, LA).
The Yellow Jackets now have a 7-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Monroe for a Division I District 1 challenge on Thursday, January 13. Byrd will face a Rebels team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Mandeville (Mandeville, LA). The Rebels record now stands at 8-6.
