Arizona High School Basketball - Coronado topped by Saguaro

January 8, 2024: Scottsdale, AZ 85250

The Saguaro Sabercats basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the visiting Coronado Dons to 48 in the Sabercats non-league victory on Monday.

The Sabercats now sport a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Seton Catholic for a 4A Desert Sky contest on Tuesday, January 9. Saguaro will battle a Sentinels team coming off a 62-55 non-league win over Show Low (Show Low, AZ). The Sentinels record now stands at 13-4.

The Dons (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against Apache Junction (Apache Junction, AZ). The Prospectors come into the 4A Black Canyon contest with a 6-10 record. In their last contest, Apache Junction was defeated by Gila Ridge (Yuma, AZ), 57-36, in a non-league contest.
