The White Mountains Spartans basketball team (Whitefield, NH), was nudged 55-48 in Monday's non-league battle with the host Groveton Eagles (Groveton, NH)

The Eagles now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Newmarket for a Division IV battle on Friday, January 12. Groveton will battle a Mules team coming off a 64-50 league loss to Farmington (Farmington, NH). The Mules record now stands at 2-7.
