Ohio High School Basketball - Firestone can't hold off Buchtel

The Buchtel Griffins basketball team scored 48 points and held the host Firestone Falcons to 45 in the Griffins league triumph on Monday.

The Griffins now sport a 6-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host North for a Akron City contest on Thursday, January 11. Buchtel will battle a Vikings team coming off a 41-39 league loss to Garfield Community Learning Center (Akron, OH). The Vikings record now stands at 4-10.

The Falcons (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Ellet (Akron, OH). The Orangemen enter the Akron City contest with a 9-4 record. In their last contest, Ellet nudged Walsh Jesuit (Cuyahoga Falls, OH), 65-63, in a non-league contest.
