South Carolina High School Basketball - Socastee can't hold off Christian Academy

The Christian Academy Saints basketball team scored 35 points and restricted the host Socastee Braves to 28 in the Saints non-league victory on Monday.

The Saints now sport a 14-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Florence Christian for a SCISA AAA Region II contest on Thursday, January 11. Christian Academy will battle a Eagles team coming off a 27-10 league win over Williamsburg Academy (Kingstree, SC). The Eagles record now stands at 7-5.

The Braves (5-9) will now prepare for their contest against Sumter (Sumter, SC). The Gamecocks come into the AAAAA Region 5 contest with a 13-0 record. In their last contest, Sumter edged Lugoff-Elgin (Lugoff, SC), 103-51, in a non-league contest.
