California High School Basketball - San Leandro tops Hayward
January 8, 2024: San Leandro, CA 94577 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the San Leandro Pirates (San Leandro, CA) and the visiting Hayward Farmers (Hayward, CA), saw San Leandro's basketball squad knock off Hayward by a count of 46-34.
With the victory, San Leandro upgrades its record to 4-9 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Castro Valley (Castro Valley, CA) to play the Trojans in a West Alameda County - Foothill challenge on Wednesday, January 10. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 6-7. Castro Valley won 60-55 in their recent non-league challenge against Branson (Ross, CA)
Next up, the Farmers play the St. Joseph Notre Dame Pilots (Alameda, CA) in a West Alameda County - Shoreline challenge, on Thursday, January 11. Hayward will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Pilots come into the challenge with a 9-6 record after their 55-41 league loss to Berkeley (Berkeley, CA).
