Minnesota High School Basketball - McGregor crushes Laporte
January 8, 2024: Laporte, MN 56461 McGregor Mercuries (McGregor, MN) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Laporte Wildcats (Laporte, MN), 58-21 in a non-league bout.
With the win, McGregor upgrades its record to 6-4 on the season. The Mercuries travel to Carlton/Wrenshall (Carlton, MN) to clash with the in a A Section 7 bout on Monday, January 15. The go into the bout with a record of 2-8.
Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Kelliher/Northome Mustangs (Northome, MN) in a A Section 8 bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Laporte will attempt to upgrade on its 2-16 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 8-1 record after their 86-35 league win over Clearbrook-Gonvick (Clearbrook, MN).
