January 8, 2024: San Pedro, CA 90731 The Torrance Tartars (Torrance, CA) basketball crushed the host Mary Star of the Sea Stars (San Pedro, CA), 59-14 in Monday's non-league test.
The Tartars (9-10) will now prepare for their test against South (Torrance, CA). The Spartans go into the Pioneer test with a 15-6 record. In their last test, South walloped Lawndale (Lawndale, CA), 65-25, in a league test.
The Stars now own a 2-9 record. They play next when they travel to St. Monica for a Camino Real test on Tuesday, January 9. Mary Star of the Sea will encounter a Mariners squad coming off a 51-50 league loss to Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary (Montebello, CA). The Mariners record now stands at 10-8.
