The Katahdin Cougars (Sherman Station, ME) basketball crushed the visiting Ashland Hornets (Ashland, ME), 78-15 in Wednesday's league bout.

The Cougars now possess a 8-2 record. They play next when they travel to Stearns for a D North bout on Monday, January 13. Katahdin will play a Minutemen team coming off a 60-53 non-league loss to Piscataquis (Guilford, ME). The Minutemen record now stands at 3-7.
