Virginia High School Basketball - J.R. Tucker nips Carver College and Career Academy
January 8, 2025: Chester, VA The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the J.R. Tucker Tigers (Henrico, VA) and the host Carver College and Career Academy Wolverines (Chester, VA), observed J.R. Tucker's basketball team nip Carver College and Career Academy by a tally of 2-0.
The Tigers now possess a 9-0 record. They play next when they travel to Mechanicsville for a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 14. J.R. Tucker will play a Mustangs team coming off a 64-58 non-league win over King William (King William, VA). The Mustangs record now stands at 5-1.
With the loss, Carver College and Career Academy falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Wolverines host King & Queen Central (King & Queen Court House, VA) to play the Royal Tigers in a Tidewater bout on Thursday, January 9. The Royal Tigers go into the bout with a record of 5-3. King & Queen Central lost 53-37 in their recent league bout against Middlesex (Saluda, VA)
